Disruptive Behavior in the classroom: Causes & What to do

When it comes time for parent-teachers interviews there’s a large number of facets of your child’s learning and behaviour that will be discussed. As a parent, it’s never a nice experience to be told that your child is disruptive during class time. If your child has been labeled as “disruptive”, take some time to understand why - it might not be because they are “naughty”. It’s possible that something else is causing the distractions.

5 Tips for NAPLAN Preparation

We often get asked by parents with children in years 3, 5, 7 and 9 how to begin preparing for NAPLAN. Before we begin, we’ll start out by stating that NAPLAN is not a contest. It should not be used for bragging rights (“my child is smarter than yours”) or to humiliate teachers, schools or children. In saying this, we do believe children should be sufficiently prepared to sit their NAPLAN assessments.

What is NAPLAN?

NAPLAN was designed to grade educational achievement, by using a large-scale standard throughout Australia. In this sense, parents are able to understand how their child is performing academically according to the National standard.
