While students will continue learning more complex concepts in high school, tests, quizzes and exams become predominantly problem-solving based in the higher school years. This means that while students must also understand how to solve the problem (by understanding the underlying concept), they also must be able to understand what needs to be solved by reading and understanding the problem presented. Even the most advanced student can struggle with worded questions if they don’t understand how to apply the concepts they know to a problem solving scenario.

While we work to strengthen specific concepts that students will be learning in the classroom, we also focus on teaching students how to apply these concepts. By understanding what needs to be solved in a worded scenario, students are easily able to apply the correct concepts – making their tests and exams at school much easier.
