Extension English Tuition for Your Child
Having a child that is excelling in their English studies is fantastic! Although one concern many parents have is that their child starts finding school work too easy, and is getting bored. Boredom can lead to disinterest and distractions in the classroom so it’s important to keep your child stimulated in their English studies, even if they are ahead of their year level.
Lynn’s Learning offers extension English Programs which are based on your child’s ability and give your child the opportunity to progress their academic learning through curriculum based extension work. By advancing your child in their English studies, they will not only retain an interest and continue enjoying English, this can also be preparatory advancement for scholarship or selective entry examinations down the track.
In addition to the basic English skills of spelling, grammar and comprehension, we also offer different types of essay writing including argumentative and creative writing to further interest and extend your child.
When your child first attends a Lynn’s Learning tuition centre, we will provide a free English assessment. This assessment will illustrate which areas of English your child is more advanced in, and will also show areas that may not be quite as advanced. Following this assessment, we will provide you honest feedback and discuss an extension program to help further advance your child.
At this same time, our tutors may discuss the opportunity to work towards a scholarship or selective entry exam in the future. While we do offer a separate program for Scholarship / Selective Entry Coaching (click here for more on this program), our tutors will always advise you during the assessment whether this is something you should be considering for your child.
