Each child is different which means each learns at their own speed and in their own way. Some excel in English while others are more numerically minded. Some may be fast learners while others need to review concepts multiple times to understand them. Some may learn through repetition while others may learn through verbal or visual cues. The fact that all children learn differently and at different rates combined with the broad requirements of the national curriculum make covering all lessons in the school curriculum increasingly difficult for teachers.

While our programs do follow the Australian Curriculum, we also ensure that students are not rushed into learning if they need more time to understand specific concepts. On the flip side, we ensure students are not held back if they are ready to extend beyond their learnings at the school year level.

While writing becomes much more difficult in the senior school years, we begin coaching students from a young age (beginning at Prep/Foundation) on how to correctly structure sentences and paragraphs, which then lead into structuring essays and writing pieces as they move through the school years. We believe sentence and essay structure to be an important foundation skill for children to learn in their early years – as it’s something they’ll need to take through to VCE and even university and beyond.

Lynn’s Learning Primary Maths tuition programs reinforce the basic mathematical concepts that your child has learnt at school and ensures that your child not only understands the concepts but can also apply them to problems. Our Mathematics tutoring program includes problem solving (worded questions) as well as geometry, area, graphs and many other types of Maths problems that students are likely to see as they go through school.
